Advanced Facial Imaging
In addition to expert clinical knowledge of our surgeons and staff, we also utilize the most advanced oral and facial imaging equipment available. This helps us ensure optimal success for every procedure.
Digital scanning allows us to take three-dimensional, high resolution scans of your facial anatomy. We can then view these images from different angles, take precise measurements, and easily share this 3D data with other doctors. This leads to greater predictability and the best possible surgical results for our patients.
Cone Beam CT Scans
One of the keys to the safety and success of complex surgery is our advanced imaging equipment. Cone beam CT scanning allows us to take 3-Dimensional, low radiation, high resolution CT scans of your facial anatomy. We can then view these images from different angles, take precise measurements, and easily share 3-D data with other doctors.
Cone beam imaging is ideal for patient comfort. It offers an "open-environment" design that reduces anxiety, and images can be taken in as little as 8.5 seconds, limiting discomfort and exposure to radiation.
3D oral surgery modeling provides an extremely precise virtual picture of your teeth and all of the structures of the mouth. This clear roadmap helps our team determine how your teeth function in order to make a plan for individualized custom treatments. Patients benefit from knowing what treatment entails so they can make informed choices.
Precision Implant Placement
A key to dental implant safety and success is advanced radiography. A CT scan ensures that every possible precaution has been made to reduce the risk of involvement of the nerves in the lower jaw, and the sinuses and nose in the upper jaw. This helps to reduce operative time and the likelihood of complications. Until recently, CT scans were only done in hospitals or medical facilities.
Cone Beam Computerized Tomography Services
We are proud to offer advanced imaging CBCT services to the surrounding dental community. Our I-CAT system is a dental specific CT scanner resulting in low radiation and high resolution for dental diagnosis.
This high-resolution technology can accurately detect dental caries, identify endodontic pathology, and reveal fractures or other pathology. CBCT evaluation is also helpful for surgical planning, implant placement, airway studies, and diagnosing sinus disease or other pathology.
